Raiders lead NFL power rankings at 3-0 after strong start
The Las Vegas Raiders sit atop the latest NFL power rankings with a 3-0 record, highlighted by a comeback win over New Orleans and an upcoming matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Las Vegas Raiders entered Week 4 unbeaten at 3-0 and were placed at the top of the NFL power rankings. Head coach Klint Kubiak, who joined the team after serving as offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, said the organization’s facilities and resources are among the best in the league. Under his guidance, the Raiders have improved markedly from a 3-14 record last season, benefitting from free-agency moves and a defensive unit that now ranks second in expected points added (EPA) allowed per play.
The Raiders’ third win came in a 35-27 comeback against the New Orleans Saints, in which they forced a turnover on each of the Saints’ four fourth-quarter possessions. Quarterback Kirk Cousins managed the offense efficiently, and tight end Brock Bowers recorded 116 receiving yards and a touchdown, reinforcing his reputation as a top player at the position.
The team’s next game is a home contest against the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs, a rivalry that has produced two Raiders victories in the last five meetings. The Raiders will look to extend their early-season momentum and demonstrate that their performance is sustainable.
The power-ranking list also noted other teams’ positions, with the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers and Chiefs occupying the next three spots, while several clubs, including the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, remain winless after three weeks.
