Yahoo Sports reported on 1 October that several NFL quarterbacks, running backs and receivers sustained injuries in Week 4, prompting fantasy managers to hunt for waiver-wire replacements. The injuries occurred during the games played on 27 September.

The latest setback follows a Week 3 incident in which Miami rookie De'Von Achane suffered a torn ACL, ending his season; head coach Jeff Hafley said every running back on the roster would see playing time as the Dolphins search for alternatives. Earlier reports also highlighted other high-profile injuries across the league in Week 3.
