Billboard ranks Taylor Swift's bonus tracks from worst to best
Billboard evaluated the four new songs added to Taylor Swift's album The Life of a Showgirl, outlining its criteria for what qualifies as a bonus track and presenting a ranking of the artist's supplemental releases.
Taylor Swift said the four additional songs for her album The Life of a Showgirl were recorded during a trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback. > "I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album," she told reporters in September 2026. Billboard explained that it compiled a list of Swift's bonus tracks, defining them as songs released on deluxe editions or special editions of her first-edition studio albums, while excluding alternate versions, remixes, soundtrack contributions, and tracks from her re-recorded catalog. The outlet noted that the second half of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology was treated as part of a cohesive album rather than a set of bonus songs, but songs added to the Midnights album via its various editions were included. After establishing these parameters, Billboard staff ranked the four new tracks alongside Swift's existing bonus material, presenting the results from lowest to highest.
