Man arrested in Pennsylvania after domestic shooting kills wife in Loudoun County
A 54-year-old woman was found dead following a domestic shooting in Aldie, Virginia, and her 60-year-old husband was apprehended in Bedford, Pennsylvania, facing first-degree murder charges.
A domestic shooting in the 24000 block of Quimby Oaks Place in Aldie, Virginia, left a 54-year-old woman dead, authorities said. Deputies responded to a call from a family relative around 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday and found the victim already deceased.
Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman reported that Pennsylvania State Police located the suspect, 60-year-old Roger Bradford, in a rental vehicle in Bedford. Bradford allegedly informed a relative about the incident, prompting the relative to contact law enforcement.
The couple had three children. While Bradford has a prior criminal record, investigators have not identified earlier domestic-related offenses linked to this case. He is being held in Pennsylvania pending extradition to Virginia, where he will be charged with first-degree murder and an associated firearm offense.
Authorities have advised residents to avoid the neighborhood as a substantial police presence remains in the area.
