Social media influencer Braden Peters charged with rape in Massachusetts
Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, faces rape, drugging and underage alcohol charges after a 17-year-old alleged he intoxicated her at his family home on Cape Cod.
A Massachusetts court has charged Braden Peters, 20, who operates under the online name Clavicular, with rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse and providing alcohol to a minor. The charges stem from an alleged incident in which a 17-year-old girl said she became intoxicated at Peters’ family residence on Cape Cod after he invited her to appear in live-stream videos.
According to a criminal complaint filed on September 8, the girl reported that she and Peters first connected on Instagram, after which he paid her to feature in “looksmaxxing” videos. She said Peters arranged an Uber to his family home in Chatham on May 23, 2025, and instructed her to claim on a Twitch livestream that she was 18 and that the vodka she was given was water. Police reviewed a clip from the livestream in which the girl said she was “so drunk” before the two kissed. She later alleged she woke up to non-consensual sex.
Peters is scheduled for arraignment in Orleans on October 14. His spokesperson, Mitchell Jackson, said the accuser had previously filed a lawsuit against Peters and that she and her attorney approached police after Peters attempted to dismiss the case.
The influencer is associated with the “looksmaxxing” subculture, which promotes extreme measures to enhance physical appearance. Peters has attracted a sizable following on platforms such as TikTok and has been noted for endorsing controversial practices, including the use of a hammer to break facial bones—a method medical experts warn against.
