Streamer Braden Peters charged with rape and related offenses in Massachusetts

Summary

Online personality Braden Peters, known as Clavicular, was indicted on September 8 on charges of rape, drugging a person for sex and providing alcohol to a minor for an alleged assault that occurred in May 2025 on Cape Cod.

The Massachusetts District Attorney's Office filed criminal charges against Braden Peters, a streamer who uses the alias Clavicular, on September 8. The indictment includes counts of rape, drugging a person for sexual activity and furnishing alcohol to a minor, offenses stemming from an alleged incident on May 23, 2025, in Cape Cod. If convicted, the rape charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and would require registration as a sex offender.

Court documents do not identify the alleged victim, in accordance with state privacy rules for sexual-assault cases. The charges correspond with allegations made in a civil lawsuit filed in April in Miami-Dade County by fellow influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, who claims she was underage and was intoxicated when Peters allegedly engaged in non-consensual sexual activity at his family home.

Peters has not publicly responded to the criminal case. In a post on the social platform X, he dismissed the civil suit as “petty.” His attorney filed a motion in July to dismiss several counts of the civil complaint. A spokesperson for Peters said the sexual-assault claim was added to the lawsuit later and that the criminal case was filed after the plaintiff reported the incident to police.

Peters is scheduled for arraignment on October 14.
