Packers coach says decision on Reed's return remains pending
Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said on September 23 that the Packers cannot determine whether wide receiver Jayden Reed will return this season, citing his recent injury and competition from rookie Matthew Golden. Reed was taken to a hospital in New Jersey after sustaining a neck injury on the second play of the Packers' overtime win over the New York Jets on September 20, according to NBC Sports, and a later report described the injury as a back injury; teammate Zach Bako-Bewele also suffered a knee injury. Reed later traveled back to Green Bay, but his availability for the remainder of the season remains uncertain.
