Toys ‘R’ Us to Open New Store at North Georgia Premium Outlets
Toys ‘R’ Us will add a standalone location at the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, part of a plan to open 120 new stores nationwide before the holiday season.
A new Toys ‘R’ Us store is slated to open at the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, according to a spokesperson and the mall’s website, which lists the location as “coming soon.” The addition is part of a broader expansion announced by the retailer, which aims to launch 120 standalone stores across the United States in time for the holidays, in partnership with Go! Retail Group. The chain currently operates 40 standalone stores and several shop-in-shop locations inside Macy’s stores.
"This is a major moment for Toys ‘R’ Us as we significantly expand our presence across the United States," said Jamie Uitdenhowen, executive vice president of Toys ‘R’ Us at parent company WHP Global.
Toys ‘R’ Us closed all of its U.S. stores by 2018 after filing for bankruptcy in 2017, and the new openings mark its return to the market.
