खेल

NBC Sports reported that the University of North Carolina football team fell to Clemson 28-20 on September 17, after surrendering a 17-3 lead, and that coach Bill Belichick was criticized for a late fourth-down call. Earlier, Steve Belichick stepped down as UNC's defensive coordinator, with NBC Sports noting his resignation amid an expanding drug-related investigation, and WRAL indicating the resignation would take effect on Oct.  27 following an internal probe that found isolated actions contrary to university values. NBC Sports added that his departure coincided with the end of a medical leave.

The university later concluded an external probe found only isolated issues in the football program, according to WRAL. Boston. com reported that Brian Belichick was appointed as the new defensive coordinator, succeeding his brother.
