Police attribute Irvine McLaren crash deaths to excessive speed

Irvine police said excessive speed likely caused the September 10 crash on Culver Drive in Irvine, California, that killed car influencer James Wehr, 27, and model Alexis Kramer, 22. The 2019 McLaren collided with a pine tree after striking a curb and caught fire, according to earlier reports.

Wehr, co-founder of the South OC Cars and Coffee weekly show, and Kramer, a Hooters model, were identified as the driver and passenger. Multiple outlets described the vehicle’s loss of control and the ensuing blaze.
