Saints rally past Ravens 24-17 on late fourth-down touchdown

Resumen

New Orleans overcame a 17-9 deficit to defeat Baltimore 24-17 after a fourth-down score by Tyler Shough in the final minutes.

The New Orleans Saints erased a 17-9 deficit to beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-17 on Sunday. With 1:28 left in the game, Saints quarterback Tyler Shough ran a one-yard sneak on fourth-and-goal, a play that was upheld after review, giving New Orleans the go-ahead score.

Baltimore had taken a 17-9 lead earlier, capitalizing on a 22-yard touchdown pass from Lamar Jackson to Rashod Bateman and a 1-yard run by Derrick Henry. The Ravens' later drive stalled at the New Orleans 37, and Jackson's deep pass was intercepted by Julian Blackmon with 13 seconds remaining.

After the Saints tied the game at 17 with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Shough to Chris Olave and a successful two-point conversion by Travis Etienne Jr., they drove methodically down the field, converting two third-downs and two fourth-downs to secure the lead.

The Ravens were without top receiver Zay Flowers and saw left tackle Ronnie Stanley exit in the second half due to a toe injury. The Saints also lost left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. to an ankle injury and cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. to a shoulder injury during the contest.

The Saints next host the Las Vegas Raiders, while the Ravens travel to face Dallas in Rio de Janeiro next Sunday.
