Apple TV+ dominates Emmys with multiple wins across series
Apple TV+ secured eight Primetime Emmy Awards, including six for the comedy series 'Widow’s Bay' and two for the drama 'Pluribus', raising its 2026 total to 28, Engadget reported. The Hollywood Reporter noted that 'Widow’s Bay' captured 14 of the 19 comedy awards and that Jean Smart became the first actress to win best-actress Emmy for every season of a series; the outlet also highlighted Sally Field’s rare film-performance Emmy and the variety award going to 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'.
Deadline had earlier forecast that HBO Max’s 'Hacks' would win Comedy Series, Apple TV+’s 'The Pitt' would repeat in Drama Series, and HBO’s 'DTF: St. Louis' would dominate Limited Series categories at the Primetime Emmys.
