O'Charley's shuts down all corporate-owned restaurants nationwide

Résumé

The Nashville-based chain O'Charley's announced the closure of all its corporate-owned locations, affecting sites in Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky and other states.

The Nashville-based restaurant chain O'Charley's is closing every corporate-owned outlet, according to industry reports and local news outlets. The shutdown includes the three remaining Georgia sites, two of which are in the Atlanta metro area, as well as locations in Tennessee, Ohio and Kentucky.

Customers at the Stockbridge, Ga., restaurant were seen leaving on the final day, expressing disappointment. > "We like O'Charley's and we love the food. And we're going to have to find another location to meet," said Rita Tyler, a patron who frequents the venue with her church group.

A notice posted on the Stockbridge door confirmed the closure, while attempts to reach the company by phone or email were unsuccessful. The chain's Instagram and Facebook pages have been removed, and its website displayed a "Site not found" message by the evening of Wednesday.

Managers at the remaining Nashville locations said the restaurants will cease operations at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and a staff member at a Harrison, Ohio, outlet reported the same timeline. The Owensboro, Kentucky, restaurant is also slated to close permanently. A franchise employee in Ohio indicated that the affected restaurant will stay open as long as possible before shutting down.

O'Charley's, which has operated since 1971 with a presence primarily in the South and some Midwestern markets, has not issued a public comment on the closures.
