O'Charley's shuts down all 52 locations, ending 55-year run
The Takeout reported that O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar announced the immediate shutdown of its remaining 52 U. S. locations on September 9, 2026, ending a 55-year presence amid declining sales.
Earlier reports said the chain’s owner, Cannae Holdings, was reviewing its portfolio and had already reduced the number of company-owned restaurants to 49 before deciding to close all sites, according to Restaurant Dive. WTVC noted that the closures would take effect on September 9, ending five decades of operation. Fox Business cited a steep drop in customer traffic and sales as the driver of the decision, and WSB-TV listed affected states including Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio and Kentucky.
