Cardinals expect rookie RB Jeremiyah Love to play in Week 1
Arizona Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is progressing well from a preseason ankle sprain and is likely to suit up for the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, though his role may be limited. Earlier, LaFleur noted that Love was making progress but his Week 1 availability remained uncertain.
The team later listed Tyler Allgeier as the starting running back with Love as the backup on the depth chart. The Cardinals also anticipated that Love would be cleared to play, albeit with a limited workload.
