South Park Season 29 Premieres as 'South America' with Trump Cameo

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said the series premiered its 29th season on 16 September, temporarily titled 'South America', featuring an updated theme song, an e-bike storyline and a brief cameo by President Donald Trump. It aired on Comedy Central and streamed on Paramount+.

The rebranding was announced earlier in September, with the duo describing it as a satirical response to President Trump's proposal to rename Lake Ontario and to tech companies' compliance with such changes. The temporary name was first reported in industry news and underscored the show's shift away from direct references to the president.
