Family of teen victim sues singer D4vd, urges death penalty
The parents of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez filed a wrongful-death suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against singer David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, his mother, his managers and affiliated companies, alleging abuse, homicide and negligence. The family has repeatedly called for the death penalty for Burke, saying they would support capital punishment if he is convicted.
Their appeals have been reported by multiple outlets since the suspect’s Tesla was found containing the teen’s dismembered remains, prompting a trial to be ordered. Prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.
