Secret Elizabeth Holmes Documentary Debuts at Telluride Film Festival

Resumen

A previously unreleased documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes premiered at the Telluride Film Festival, offering unprecedented access to Holmes and her husband before her prison sentence began.

Festival attendees at the Telluride Film Festival were surprised on Sunday night by a surprise screening of a new documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. The three-hour film, titled “You Can See Everything,” was directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim and had not been shown publicly before the event.

The documentary follows Holmes and her husband, Billy Evans, during the 34 days leading up to Holmes’s reporting to federal prison in May 2023 to begin an 11-year sentence for fraud convictions related to her blood-testing company. It also references Holmes’s ongoing legal appeals, which were denied in February 2022, and her request for a presidential commutation that remains under review.

According to reports, Fielder lived in the couple’s guest house while filming, providing extensive access to the subjects. The film is scheduled for release by A24 in October, and a trailer has been made available.

"The film captures a unique period in Holmes’s life that has not been documented before," said a spokesperson for the filmmakers.

The surprise premiere was held in a 650-seat theater, with audience members asked to keep phones away during the screening.
