Cancelled 'Spider-Noir' Sweeps Creative Arts Emmys with Five Wins
The Hollywood Reporter said the cancelled series 'Spider-Noir' won five Creative Arts Emmy awards at the 2026 ceremony. Deadline reported that Prime Video announced the superhero series would not return for a second season, while the broader Amazon-Sony TV partnership would continue developing new projects. The Hollywood Reporter added that the eight-episode series, despite strong critical reception and multiple Emmy nominations, would not be renewed.
The Daily Beast noted that Amazon cited viewership that fell short of the show's high production costs as the reason for the cancellation. Actor Nicolas Cage later said one season was sufficient and praised the work, and Prime Video confirmed there would be no second season.
