15-Year-Old Son of Former NFL Player Indicted on Multiple Felony Sex Assault Charges
A Fulton County grand jury indicted Kroy Biermann Jr. on seven felony counts, including aggravated child molestation and sexual battery, following an alleged assault on a 15-year-old girl.
A Fulton County grand jury returned a seven-count indictment Thursday against 15-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr., the son of former Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann and former reality-TV personality Kim Zolciak. The charges, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, include aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16, and false imprisonment.
According to investigators, the teen allegedly restrained a 15-year-old girl and forced sexual acts on her inside a changing room at a Life Time Fitness facility in Alpharetta. Police say the encounter began on April 23 when the two met at the gym’s café before the alleged assault. The victim was examined at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where tests found no male DNA.
Biermann Jr. was arrested on August 17 and is scheduled to appear in court again on September 8 at 1 p.m.
Kim Zolciak, the teen’s mother, said the allegations are "reckless and deeply troubling" and that her son "categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged," adding that he passed a voluntary polygraph examination.
