President Trump's darker hair sparks online speculation
Photos of Donald Trump with a noticeably darker hair shade have prompted jokes and comments on social media, while the White House has not responded.
Photos released on Saturday showed President Donald Trump stepping off Air Force One in Morristown, New Jersey, with hair that appeared darker than his usual blonde color. The images, taken as the 80-year-old leader arrived in a navy suit and yellow tie, quickly circulated online, prompting a wave of commentary.
"What is going on with Trump's hair?" journalist Aaron Rupar wrote on X.
"Something needs to be done about his hair under the Twenty-Fifth Amendment," lawyer George Conway added, suggesting the change warranted action.
"The hair???? If I hadn't pulled the photos from Getty Images myself, I wouldn't have believed it," journalist Yashar Ali posted.
Former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger responded in all caps, "You have got to be kidding me," while journalist Molly Jong-Fast remarked, "Trump is now a brunette!" Novelists and other commentators also weighed in, with Anne Lamott describing the look as "youthful" and comparing it to actor Pierce Brosnan.
The president, who spent the weekend at his Bedminster golf club, has previously addressed rumors about his hair, stating at a White House Rose Garden event that he does not wear a wig. The White House has not issued a comment on the recent photographs.
Earlier this month, Trump’s hair attracted attention during a speech in Las Vegas, where observers noted a brighter, thicker appearance. The Democratic Party’s official X account shared a prior image of the president’s hair, noting the contrast with the newer look.
