NFL continues personal conduct review of Rams receiver Puka Nacua ahead of season opener

Résumé

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua remains under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy review, with possible discipline pending despite not being suspended.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is still subject to the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy review as the league approaches its Week 1 games. Although the league did not suspend him over the weekend, his case remains open and could result in disciplinary action after the season begins. The review follows a civil lawsuit alleging that Nacua bit a party attendee’s shoulder during a New Year's Eve gathering; his attorney has described the incident as "horseplay" and no criminal charges have been filed. A Los Angeles County judge has scheduled the civil trial for March 27, 2028.

Nacua joins several other NFL figures, including 49ers owner Jed York, Ravens receiver Rashod Bateman and Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson, who are also under conduct policy scrutiny after off-field incidents. The league has not set a deadline for concluding these investigations, and past cases have shown that discipline can be imposed after the season has started.

The Rams are set to open their season in Australia on Sept. 10 against the San Francisco 49ers, and Nacua is currently expected to be available for the game, though his status could change pending the league's final decision.
