Snedeker omits two Ryder Cup veterans from 2026 Presidents Cup roster
U. S. captain Brandt Snedeker omitted J. J. Spaun and Ben Griffin from the United States squad for the 2026 Presidents Cup, a decision reported by Yahoo Sports on September 2, 2026, at Medinah Country Club in Illinois. The exclusion sparked criticism from commentators.
Earlier, on September 1, Snedeker announced six captain’s picks that completed the 12-man U. S. team, according to Golf Channel. The day before, Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy had finalized their respective rosters, as reported by Yahoo Sports. Ogilvy’s earlier announcement, also covered by Golf Channel, added six International captain’s picks to five automatic qualifiers.
