Colts GM confirms Keenan Allen will play after DWI arrest
On September 1, Colts general manager Chris Ballard said in Indianapolis that veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen will be active for the team's Week 1 opener despite his recent DWI arrest. Allen was taken into custody early on August 27 in Indianapolis on misdemeanor DWI and DWI endangerment charges, a week after signing with the club, and is scheduled to appear in court on September 16. The team indicated it will handle any league discipline internally while the NFL may still impose its own sanctions.
