Colts general manager Chris Ballard confirmed wide receiver Keenan Allen will be active for the team's Week 1 game, noting the club will handle any discipline internally while the league may impose its own sanctions.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard told reporters on Tuesday that wide receiver Keenan Allen will be on the active roster for the team's opening game against the Baltimore Ravens, despite his recent arrest for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Ballard said the organization will address any disciplinary measures internally, while Allen remains subject to possible league action under the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.

"I’m not going to comment on what happened. What I’m gonna tell you is good people make mistakes. He’s a tremendous human being, give him some grace and he’ll work through the process of the legal system," Ballard said. Ballard added that Allen's prior conduct in the league does not suggest the incident will affect the team's evaluation of his role.
