Olivia Rodrigo Announces $10 Million Donation and Female-Focused Photography for Daisy Chain Fields Festival
Pop star Olivia Rodrigo said her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival will donate $10 million to women-centered nonprofits and aim to feature primarily female photographers, while presenting a lineup of notable artists.
Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo appeared in Santa Monica on Friday to promote her first Daisy Chain Fields music festival, stating that the event will allocate $10 million to a range of women-focused nonprofit organizations. Rodrigo said the festival was created to celebrate the impact of collective support for one another, and she was joined by executives from ten charities during the announcement.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday at Great Park in Irvine, California, and organizers plan to prioritize female, trans, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming photographers for stage and ancillary coverage, though participation will not be limited exclusively to women. Rodrigo emphasized that fostering a positive atmosphere was the primary goal.
The two-day event will feature performances by Rodrigo alongside acts such as Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Devon Again, Die Spitz, Doechii, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not For Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Cinouriri, Santigold and The Breeders, with guest appearances by Karen O, Sarah MacLachlan and Stevie Nicks.
