Kelley Wolf apologizes to husband Scott Wolf after involuntary psychiatric hold
Former reality star Kelley Wolf disclosed a diagnosis of drug-induced mania with psychosis and issued a public apology to husband Scott Wolf and their children, a year after being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold.
Kelley Wolf, known from reality television, posted an Instagram carousel in which she said doctors had diagnosed her with drug-induced mania with psychosis, attributing the condition to stress, past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens and prescribed medication. She said she had no awareness of her actions at the time and described delusional beliefs, including thinking she was a CIA operative and a presidential candidate.
Wolf explained that the episode led to an involuntary psychiatric hold in Utah County after she made concerning statements, and that the incident caused "profound harm" to her husband of twenty years and their three children. She expressed remorse, stating that she had failed to protect her family and that the pain she caused would "haunt" her.
The couple announced their separation in June 2025 after 21 years of marriage. In subsequent legal proceedings, Scott Wolf alleged that Kelley had planned to make false allegations against him, describing those claims as baseless and dangerous for their children. A July 2025 agreement gave him temporary sole physical custody, with Kelley receiving supervised visitation.
In her apology, Wolf thanked Scott for his support, noting his comment of five heart emojis on her post, and pledged to work toward personal improvement and to "pay it forward".
