Air Force Lt. Col. Michael Schrama ruled that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s 2007 confession was not given voluntarily and barred it from the pending death-penalty trial, saying that extremist activity is growing within U. S.

military ranks, Fox News reported. Earlier, the same military judge had set a start date for the trial of Mohammed and three co-defendants, extending the timeline beyond prosecutors’ request, according to AP News.
