MLB Pipeline ranks top ten farm systems for outfield prospects in 2026
The Los Angeles Dodgers lead MLB Pipeline's list of organizations with the deepest and highest-rated outfield prospect pools, followed by the Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles.
Los Angeles remains the most stocked organization for outfield talent, fielding three prospects in MLB Pipeline's top-20 list—Josue De Paula, Mike Sirota and Eduardo Quintero—and several others with grades above 45. The depth allowed the Dodgers to trade No. 28 prospect Zyhir Hope to Detroit without compromising their outfield outlook.
Seattle and Baltimore round out the top three, each with three outfielders ranked in the Top 100. The Mariners’ trio—Michael Arroyo, Lazaro Montes and Jonny Farmelo—are all 21-year-olds at Double-A or Triple-A, while the Orioles feature 18-year-old Eric Booth Jr., who debuted at No. 40, alongside Ike Irish and Nate George, both dealing with injuries.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Guardians occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, thanks to recent acquisitions and a broad base of prospects with grades of 45 or higher. The Cardinals benefit from the breakout of Joshua Báez and the addition of Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale, while the Guardians rely on a seven-player outfield group anchored by Juneiker Caceres.
Colorado, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay and Minnesota complete the top ten. Colorado’s Roldy Brito is its sole Top 100 outfielder; Detroit’s Max Clark and the recently traded Zyhir Hope give the Tigers a high ceiling despite limited depth; Pittsburgh’s Edward Florentino leads a modest pool; the Rays highlight Theo Gillen’s rapid power surge; and the Twins showcase Walker Jenkins, a five-tool prospect poised for a major-league impact.
"The Dodgers' outfield depth lets us move prospects without hurting our future," a team spokesperson said.
"Seattle’s outfield prospects bring a mix of power and athleticism," a Mariners analyst noted.
"Baltimore’s recent draft pick Eric Booth Jr. offers five-tool upside," an Orioles development official commented.
