Chicago Sky bans Enes Kanter Freedom, guard shifts focus to women's issues
The New York Times reported on August 29 that Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud said she will focus on domestic violence, sexual assault and food insecurity rather than the recent dispute with former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom, who remains barred from the team’s home games at Wintrust Arena. On August 28, during a Chicago Sky–Indiana Fever game at Wintrust Arena, Freedom was approached by protestors and then got into a heated verbal clash with guard Natasha Cloud.
Fox News said he was removed after using profanity and commenting on her shirt, and the BBC added that police questioned him after the incident. The Sky announced that he would be barred from future home games.
