California AG Bonta says settlement talks with Paramount halted
California Attorney General Rob Bonta told reporters on August 25 that no settlement negotiations are scheduled with Paramount Skydance after he cancelled a meeting and accused the studio of leaking confidential details, according to Deadline. Earlier, Fox Business reported that Bonta and Paramount Skydance were set to meet to explore a possible resolution of the antitrust case challenging Paramount's $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros.
Discovery. NBC News later said Bonta called off the meeting, citing alleged leaks of settlement discussion information.
