Samsung's Galaxy S27 to retain S26 design while Ultra model gets major camera overhaul
Leaks show the standard Galaxy S27 will keep the same dimensions and styling as the S26, while the S27 Ultra will feature a new wide-spanning camera module similar to recent iPhone designs.
New renderings of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 suggest the standard model will closely follow the dimensions and look of the Galaxy S26, with only minimal changes of a few tenths of a millimeter. The device is expected to retain a 6.3-inch display and a design that has been used across the series since the Galaxy S23.
In contrast, the Galaxy S27 Ultra appears to adopt a substantially different rear camera layout. Leaked images show a camera module that stretches across the full width of the phone, a design approach recently seen on the iPhone 17 Pro. Analysts speculate the change could support new wireless charging standards or improve stability when the phone lies face-up.
Details on the internal hardware remain unconfirmed. The S27 may be powered by either a high-end Snapdragon processor or Samsung's own silicon, and storage and RAM options have not been disclosed. Some reports warn that rising memory costs could lead to higher prices or reduced RAM configurations for the base model, while the Ultra variant might see a price increase.
The Galaxy S27 line is slated for launch early next year.
