Jacob Elordi attends London premiere of Ridley Scott's 'The Dog Stars'
Jacob Elordi joined cast members and director Ridley Scott at the world premiere of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi film 'The Dog Stars' in London, where he discussed his experience working with Scott and avoided questions about a potential James Bond role.
Jacob Elordi arrived in London on Thursday for the world premiere of Ridley Scott’s new film “The Dog Stars,” held at the Odeon Luxe cinema in Leicester Square. The actor was greeted by enthusiastic fans, and he posed on the red carpet alongside Rak Jasper, one of the three dogs featured in the movie.
Elordi, who replaced Paul Mescal in the lead role, praised Scott, calling him “the king of movies” and describing the collaboration as “a dream come true.”
“I don’t think I’ll ever have an experience like that. He’s one of a kind and he’s a pioneer of modern cinema,” Elordi told Variety.
When asked about the ongoing casting search for the next James Bond, Elordi sidestepped the question, replying, “I’m here on holiday.”
The cast also included Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley and Guy Pearce. Brolin, speaking to Empire Magazine, said he initially considered leaving the production because of Scott’s demanding directing style but later continued, noting the director’s approach was “stratospherically creative and stratospherically dangerous.”
“The Dog Stars,” produced by Disney’s 20th Century Studios and based on Peter Heller’s 2012 novel, is set after a global flu pandemic that has nearly wiped out humanity. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on Aug. 28.
