Prince William concerned about Prince Harry and Meghan's return to the UK

Summary

A source told Vanity Fair that Prince William and Catherine are uneasy about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving back to Britain, fearing it could disrupt their plans and lead to renewed security disputes.

Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are reportedly unsettled by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recent relocation from California to the United Kingdom, a source said to Vanity Fair. The source added that the move has "derailed" what was expected to be a happy period for William, whose wife is in remission from cancer and whose son Prince George is about to start at Eton.

According to the source, William now feels he must remain vigilant, unsure what his brother might do next. The Sussexes' children, Archie and Lilibet, are set to begin at a preparatory school in the Cotswolds next week.

William and King Charles III have reportedly discussed the situation privately and agree that Harry and Meghan will not resume official royal duties. > "Prince William is very concerned about the Sussexes coming back and why they have made the decision so quickly," the source said. > "He is adamant the situation must remain as it is and that Harry and Meghan will not carry out royal engagements."

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan confirmed the couple has no plans to take on royal duties. The king is said to be pleased that Harry will be back in the country, but also apprehensive about potential security disputes with the Home Office and renewed media attention.

Harry and Meghan will retain their Montecito home and a vacation property in Portugal.
