FX Orders Limited Series 'Legends' Reuniting 'Sons of Anarchy' Cast
FX has commissioned a limited series titled 'Legends' that will bring together most of the original 'Sons of Anarchy' ensemble, with Charlie Hunnam serving as co-creator and executive producer.
FX announced a limited series called "Legends" that will reunite the majority of the original "Sons of Anarchy" cast, including Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi. The premise follows the actors meeting at a fan convention more than a decade after the show ended, where fictional and real threats intersect.
Hunnam developed the project with Jonathan Groff, and both are credited as executive producers alongside Rob Mac, Nicholas Frenkel and Jackie Cohn. Production will be handled by FX Productions and 20th Television.
"When Charlie brought us this inspired idea, we instantly sparked to his bold and entertaining vision," said Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment.
The series will serve as a meta-narrative that references the original show while presenting a new storyline. "Sons of Anarchy," created by Kurt Sutter, aired from 2008 to 2014, running seven seasons and nearly 100 episodes. Hunnam, who recently earned his first Emmy nomination for the Netflix anthology "Monster: The Ed Gein Story," has also appeared in projects such as "The Gentlemen" and "Pacific Rim."
