Kim Zolciak seen in Alpharetta after son’s sexual assault charge

Résumé

Reality TV star Kim Zolciak was photographed driving in Alpharetta, Georgia, two days after her 15-year-old son was arrested on aggravated sodomy and sexual battery charges, while she and the boy’s attorney maintain his innocence.

Kim Zolciak was observed driving a Range Rover through Alpharetta, Georgia, on Sunday, two days after her son, Kroy “KJ” Jagger Biermann Jr., was taken into custody on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. The 48-year-old appeared alone in the vehicle and kept her face shaded with the sun visor.

According to court documents, the alleged assault occurred on April 23 at a Life Time fitness center, where a female classmate accused KJ of forcing oral sex and digital penetration. The victim reported the incident to her parents the following day and was examined at North Fulton Hospital. KJ is being held without bond, with a hearing set for Sept. 1.

"He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged," Zolciak wrote in a statement, adding that her son took a polygraph test and passed, and that DNA testing found no trace of his DNA.

"Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation," she said, urging the public to allow the legal process to proceed.

KJ’s lawyer, Jason Sheffield, told reporters that his client is "100 percent innocent" and reiterated the polygraph results. He asked the public not to presume the truth of the allegations and to respect the privacy of both families.

KJ’s father, former NFL player Kroy Biermann, has not commented publicly but was seen picking up his younger son from football practice over the weekend.
