Rosie O'Donnell Hits Back at Trump with Mirror Joke After TV Monologue
Yahoo reported that on 25 August, comedian Rosie O'Donnell posted a photo of President Donald Trump on social media with a caption that turned his earlier “slob” remark back on him, continuing their decades-long public feud. Earlier in the month, O'Donnell filled in as guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Variety noted that she opened the show with a critique of Trump and a tribute to the late actress Hayden Panettiere. The Daily Beast said her monologue alluded to Trump without naming him, while The Hollywood Reporter highlighted that she also spoke about her life in Ireland.
HuffPost and Mashable both reported that she delivered a pointed jab at Trump and his White House aide during the broadcast. Salon. com mentioned that her appearance coincided with ABC and Disney filing a lawsuit against the FCC, and TheWrap recorded that she used the platform to criticize the Trump administration in response to recent White House remarks about her jokes.
