Apple may unveil AirPods 5 at September iPhone event, Bloomberg reports
Bloomberg says Apple may unveil two versions of its next-generation AirPods 5, a regular model and an active-noise-cancelling model, at the company’s expected September 9 iPhone event. Earlier leaks revealed prototype AirPods with low-resolution cameras that capture visual data for Apple’s AI features. A demo video from a macOS beta, reported by The Verge, showed the camera-enabled design, and TechCrunch and petapixel.
com noted that the devices would not record photos or video. The New York Post highlighted privacy concerns after the demonstration leaked. 9to5Mac later reported that the product’s release could be delayed until 2027, while MacRumors listed the camera-AirPods among other upcoming Apple devices.
