Brian Hickerson Banned from Multiple South Carolina Bars Prior to Hayden Panettiere's Death

Resumen

Brian Hickerson, the boyfriend of the late actress Hayden Panettiere, was reportedly barred from several South Carolina bars for intoxication before her death, which is under investigation.

Brian Hickerson, who was dating actress Hayden Panettiere at the time of her death, has been permanently barred from at least three bars in South Carolina, according to sources familiar with the matter. The establishments, identified as Hooters, Twin Peaks and another venue in Greenville, cited concerns about his level of intoxication and failure to comply with staff requests to leave.

Sources described Hickerson as generally courteous when sober but noted that he could become disruptive after drinking. The bans were imposed within the two to three months preceding Panettiere's death, which was reported on August 16 after she was found unresponsive in an Airbnb she shared with Hickerson.

Hickerson’s brother, Zach, told reporters that Brian attempted to administer naloxone (Narcan) after the incident. The investigation into Panettiere’s death is being handled by state authorities and the DEA. Her mother, Lesley Vogel, has publicly expressed criticism of Hickerson.

Legal records show that prosecutors in Los Angeles questioned Hickerson three days before the actress’s death regarding a prior interview in which he appeared under the influence. He was also arrested in August 2025 after an alleged drug-related incident at a West Hollywood restaurant. Since the death, Hickerson has remained at his family home in Greenville, limiting his outings to essential errands.
