Neighbor says Hayden Panettiere was taken from LA apartment on gurney twice during relationship with Brian Hickerson

Résumé

A West Hollywood resident reported seeing firefighters remove Hayden Panettiere on a gurney from her apartment in July 2023 and January 2024, describing visible injuries and alleging the presence of her partner Brian Hickerson.

A West Hollywood neighbor said she observed Hayden Panettiere being carried out of her Los Angeles apartment on a gurney by firefighters on two separate occasions, on July 29, 2023, and January 16, 2024. The resident, Mia Terrazas, said Panettiere had visible bruises and "bright red spots" and appeared "battered," with Hickerson present each time.

Terrazas recounted asking Panettiere if she was okay while she was on the gurney; the actress allegedly replied, "Yes." Her daughter, Vileena Koneru, was also present for the later incident. Both women said they tried to raise concerns with the responding firefighters, but the Los Angeles County Fire Department did not comment.

The neighbor also reported hearing frequent arguments from the unit and described one incident where Panettiere allegedly shouted at Hickerson in an elevator. Legal records show Hickerson faced multiple felony domestic-violence charges in 2020, pleading no contest to two counts in 2021 and receiving a short jail term, probation and a protective order that expired in April 2024.

Terrazas said she repeatedly called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department after seeing Hickerson on the property despite the protective order; deputies reportedly removed him at least once, but he returned. The sheriff’s department did not respond to requests for comment.

In August 2025, the building’s homeowners association posted flyers warning residents about Hickerson’s alleged trespassing, later removing them after stating he was in drug rehabilitation, though no records of a 2025 rehab stay were found.

Panettiere and Hickerson had publicly discussed their struggles with addiction. On the weekend before her death, the pair traveled to Greenville, where Panettiere died of a suspected overdose at an Airbnb. Hickerson’s brother said Hickerson administered Narcan and performed CPR with him, but emergency personnel were unable to revive her. The coroner’s office reported no trauma and an ongoing investigation pending toxicology results.

A spokesperson for Panettiere said the investigation is ongoing and that justice is expected. Hickerson, through his attorney, declined further comment, emphasizing the need to allow the investigation to proceed.
