Boyfriend's brother says Narcan was administered to Hayden Panettiere before she was found unconscious

Zach Hickerson told reporters that he and his brother Brian Hickerson found actress Hayden Panettiere unconscious at the brothers' Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday morning. Zach said he knocked on the door, woke Brian from a nap, and the two discovered Panettiere unresponsive. He called 911 and said Brian administered Narcan, a nasal medication used to reverse opioid overdoses, while they performed CPR until emergency responders arrived.
"Brian gave her Narcan," Zach said.
Zach added that there are many rumors surrounding the incident and that authorities will release more details as the investigation proceeds. He asked the public and media to allow the family to mourn without additional speculation.
The incident was first reported after a Narcan device was found in the room, and dispatch audio referenced an overdose, though officials have not confirmed the cause of death.
