Neighbor says she repeatedly called 911 over disturbances at actress's West Hollywood home
A West Hollywood resident reported multiple emergency calls to police concerning disturbances involving actress Hayden Panettiere and her boyfriend, as authorities continue investigating the actress's death.
A West Hollywood resident who lived next to actress Hayden Panettiere said she called 911 at least six times to report disturbances at the actress's apartment. The neighbor, identified as Mia Terrazzas, told Inside Edition that she observed signs of conflict involving Panettiere and her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and that the homeowners association had posted notices urging residents to contact police if Hickerson was seen, though the notices were removed a week later.
Panettiere, who died at age 36 in Greenville, South Carolina, had previously described physical abuse by Hickerson in her memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning. Hickerson was sentenced to 45 days in jail in 2021 after pleading no contest to two felony counts of injuring the actress.
A police report related to the South Carolina investigation indicates that Hickerson and his brother were present at the townhouse when Panettiere was pronounced dead. Hickerson later received a welfare check from police. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the cause and manner of death remain pending, noting that officials discussed a possible overdose and cardiac arrest during the 911 call. The Drug Enforcement Administration has also joined the investigation.
Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, criticized Hickerson, stating that he was present at the time of her daughter's death.
