The Greenville County Coroner's Office reported that the autopsy of actress Hayden Panettiere showed no signs of trauma, while the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the autopsy of Hayden Panettiere revealed no evidence of trauma that could have contributed to her death. The office noted that the cause and manner of death are still pending further investigation and additional studies.

According to emergency-services audio, a friend called 911 around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday reporting an unresponsive woman. Paramedics discussed a possible overdose and cardiac arrest and attempted advanced cardiac life support before pronouncing her dead at the scene.

Panettiere, 36, had publicly discussed her long-standing struggle with addiction, postpartum depression, childhood trauma and pressures associated with her acting career. In May, three months before her death, she released a memoir titled "This Is Me: A Reckoning," in which she described her efforts toward sobriety.

She was known for roles on "Heroes," "Nashville," and early work in soap operas and films, including a voice role in "A Bug’s Life" and a part in "Remember the Titans." Her most recent film, "Sleepwalker," was released in January.
