Actress Hayden Panettiere dies at 36

Resumen

Hayden Panettiere, known for roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," died in South Carolina at age 36, according to her family representative.

Actress Hayden Panettiere, who gained fame for her roles in the television series "Heroes" and as country singer Juliette Barnes on "Nashville," died in South Carolina at the age of 36, her representative confirmed. A statement released by her father, shared through the representative, asked for privacy as the family copes with the loss.

Panettiere began working as a child, appearing in commercials from 11 months old, and later built a career that included films such as "Remember the Titans" and "Scream," as well as multiple television projects. Her portrayal of Juliette Barnes earned her Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actress in 2013 and 2014.

In a 2023 interview with NPR, Panettiere said the character sometimes felt indistinguishable from herself, noting, "I stopped being able to tell where the character started and where I ended."

Earlier this year she released a memoir titled "This is Me: A Reckoning," in which she discussed her experiences growing up in the entertainment industry, her struggles with addiction and depression, and her efforts to support others facing similar challenges. She described the book as an attempt to share her story and help readers feel less isolated.

The family has not disclosed further details about the cause of death.
