Seahawks and Titans Hold Joint Preseason Practice in Nashville
The Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans completed a joint practice at Vanderbilt University, with both teams evaluating performance and noting areas for improvement ahead of the upcoming preseason games.
Seattle and Tennessee met for a joint preseason practice at Vanderbilt University in Nashville on Friday. The Titans' offense scored twice in ten series against the Seahawks, while the Seahawks' defense recorded two sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown by safety Ty Okada.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said the team will review tape to identify strengths and weaknesses, describing the session as a valuable opportunity to face different run and pass schemes. "I think we’re going to watch the tape and like a lot of things we saw, and then we’re going to watch the tape and not like some things," he said.
Titans players and writers expressed confidence after holding their own against the defending champions, noting effective red-zone work and solid pressure on Seattle quarterback Drew Darnold. Darnold acknowledged the Titans' pass rush, stating, "their 4-man rushes are really, really good."
Both teams used the practice to assess depth players. Seahawks wide receivers Cody White and Montorie Foster Jr. and special-teams contributors such as Ricky White III received positive looks, while the Titans highlighted the performance of running back George Holani and the emergence of linebacker Ty Okada, who was praised by Macdonald for his confidence and leadership.
Injuries were also a focus; Seahawks receiver Jake Bobo was reported to have sustained a long-term injury, prompting well-wishes from teammates. The practice concluded without incidents, and coaches from both clubs emphasized the importance of execution and collaboration in a controlled environment.
