Disney Shows Alternate Doctor Doom Costume for Upcoming Avengers: Doomsday
At Disney's D23 expo, a second, less armored Doctor Doom outfit was displayed, hinting at possible character development in the December 2026 Avengers: Doomsday film.
Disney unveiled an additional Doctor Doom costume at its D23 event, expanding on the look already seen in the first trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. The new suit retains the classic Jack Kirby-inspired silhouette but replaces the chest armor with a smoother design, features a single brooch on the cape, and uses leather gloves and boots instead of metallic ones. The mask also appears less severe, with larger, rounder eye openings.
Analysts note that the altered attire could signal a narrative shift for the character, possibly depicting a former hero before his descent into villainy, though the studio has not confirmed any plot details. Avengers: Doomsday is slated for theatrical release on December 18, 2026.
