Adam Driver Cast as Mister Sinister in Marvel's 2028 X-Men Film
Marvel Studios confirmed that Adam Driver will portray the mutant villain Mister Sinister in the upcoming X-Men movie scheduled for release in May 2028.
Marvel Studios announced that actor Adam Driver, known for his role as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, will play Nathaniel Milbury, also known as Mister Sinister, in the studio's next X-Men film slated for May 5, 2028. The casting was revealed at Disney’s D23 event, where the studio said Driver had been pursued for years before signing on.
Mister Sinister, a long-standing X-Men antagonist, has not yet appeared in a major motion picture despite earlier attempts to include the character. Jon Hamm was once attached to a post-credits cameo in the 2020 film The New Mutants, but the scene was never filmed. The character’s organization, Essex Corp., was previously hinted at in a post-credits sequence of the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse.
In the upcoming story, Driver’s Sinister will clash with characters Jean Grey and Cyclops, portrayed by Sadie Sink and Kit Connor respectively. The film is part of Marvel’s broader plan to integrate the X-Men franchise into its cinematic universe.
