Former 'All That' Cast Member Christy Knowings Dies at 46
Actress and comedian Christy Knowings died at age 46 after being placed on life support following an asthma attack that caused brain damage.
Christy Knowings, known for her work on Nickelodeon's sketch series "All That," died Tuesday night at a Los Angeles-area hospital at age 46. The actress was hospitalized on Friday after an asthma attack resulted in brain damage, and she remained on life support until her family decided to discontinue treatment.
Knowings joined "All That" in 1997 after appearing in the Rosie O'Donnell sketch-comedy special "And Now This." During her three seasons on the show she performed several recurring characters, including Penny Lane and Jessica in the "Whateverrr!!!" sketch with Amanda Bynes. She later made three appearances on "Sesame Street" alongside her twin brother Chris Knowings and released a folk single titled "To the World" in 2020.
She is the second former cast member of "All That" to die this year, following Kianna Underwood, who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Brooklyn in January.
