According to Yahoo News New Zealand, Jake and Romy Reiner testified before a Los Angeles grand jury on August 20, 2026, after the jury had returned a two-count first-degree murder indictment against their brother Nick Reiner for the stabbing deaths of their parents in Brentwood. Earlier, NBC Los Angeles reported that a Los Angeles grand jury indicted Nick Reiner on two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances. NPR added that prosecutors said he waited to ambush his parents, that he has pleaded not guilty, and that he is seeking access to a $1.
