Trump Remains Silent as Mike Lindell Refuses to Concede Minnesota GOP Primary

Resumen

Mike Lindell, the MyPillow founder, declined to acknowledge his defeat in the Minnesota Republican gubernatorial primary, while President Donald Trump has not commented on the outcome.

Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow, has refused to concede his loss to Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth in the Republican primary for governor held on Tuesday. President Donald Trump, who endorsed Lindell, has not issued a statement regarding the result.

The Minnesota Republican Party questioned Lindell's residency qualifications, noting that he lived in Texas as recently as last year and only returned to Minnesota shortly before the one-year deadline required for candidacy. A judge also found probable cause that Lindell may have violated campaign laws by distributing pillows bearing the slogan “Mike Lindell for Governor” during a July Fourth parade.

Lindell, who stepped down as MyPillow CEO, recently settled a $1 billion defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems over false claims that the company rigged the 2020 election. He also faces a pending defamation case involving Smartmatic, though damages have not yet been determined.

Democratic nominee Senator Amy Klobuchar holds a substantial lead in polls for the general election. The race follows the announcement by Democratic Governor Mike Walz that he will not seek a third term amid investigations into a large welfare fraud scheme.

"I have no money left to pay lawyers in election lawsuits," Lindell said in a recent interview, referring to his ongoing legal battles.
